Gimme Blog
Here at Gimme! Coffee, we have a few relationship coffees that hold a special place in our hearts, and what better time for the return of one of our favorites, Peru Chirinos, than February, the month of love!
One of the most exciting parts of our jobs at Gimme is getting to try new coffees, and sharing them with you! This month we have three new coffees: one seasonal blend and two African coffees, one from Ethiopia and one from Kenya.
We are incredibly excited to introduce two new coffees in December, one coffee from our friends at the Long Miles Coffee Project in Burundi, along with one from Brazil. Both of these coffees have quickly created a buzz in our roastery, and we are incredibly excited to share them with you!
Jorge's farm produces Las Peñitas, a coffee we've been buying from the Santa Barbara region of Honduras for 3 years. Jorge's crop was coming in (aka ready for picking) when I visited in mid-March. His father helped with picking in order to get the fruit in on time.
Almost two years ago to the date we released our limited edition Fracktivist Blend to support the fight against fracking in New York State. Since its release in December 2012 a portion of proceeds from each bag sold has been donated to agencies committed to protecting the environment in the Finger Lakes and across New York state, totaling over $30,000 in donations over the last two years.
