Class II Recall of Decaf de Agua Coffee Pods
Out of an abundance of caution, Gimme! Coffee is conducting a voluntary recall on one production lot of Decaf de Agua coffee pods packaged by a co-manufacturer due to a limited quantity of caffeinated coffee being inadvertently packaged and mislabeled as decaffeinated coffee. In the case of caffeine, some individuals may be susceptible to potential medical issues if they accidentally ingest it.
The recalled product is labeled Decaf de Agua on the box, but the interior packaging is labeled Deep Disco (a caffeinated coffee). The UPC is 051497457990.
If you have received a box of Decaf de Agua pods that was mispacked with Deep Disco pods, please contact us for return or replacement, or return to your point of purchase.
Frequently asked question
No, it does not affect bags of coffee. This was a production error at the pod manufacturer; we ship roasted coffee to them to be ground, packaged into pods, and then packaged in boxes. Unfortunately, some Deep Disco pods were packed into the Decaf boxes.
The internal packaging material on the pods is correct. If the plastic wrapping on the pods in your box are marked Deep Disco, then they are caffeinated coffee.
Yes, we can send you a replacement box of pods with the correct contents. We can also refund your order.
You can call us at (607) 273-0111, email orders@gimmecoffee.com, or return pods to your point of purchase.
No, the error in packaging was discovered by a Gimme! Coffee employee. We have not received any customer complaints, but we are issuing a recall out of an abundance of caution.
Yes, the Deep Disco is safe to drink - it's just caffeinated.
