Peru Sol y Café

$16.00

In the northern highlands of Peru lies Jaén, a small coffee town in the Cajamarca region. While its footprint may be modest, its contribution to coffee production is as mountainous as the Andean ridge in which it rests. Among its stakeholders is Sol y Café, a coffee cooperative founded in 2005 with the support of local church mission Caritas Jaen. To date, the co-op has grown to over 900 member families spanning thousands of acres. The collective strength of these farmers continues to be the production of high quality organic coffee, and they have proven it–regularly showing as top finishers in quality competitions held nationally and abroad.
