Tasting Notes:
peaches in syrup, medjool date, that strawberry hard candy
Sustainability:
produced by women farmers

Turihamwe means “together” in Kirundi and is the name of Burundi’s first washing station built and owned exclusively by women farmers. With support of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance and importer, JNP Coffee, the Turihamwe producers pooled their coffee sales to control the production and marketing process, and doubled their total production in two short years. This coffee is also part of JNP's Dushime Premium Program, which provides a bonus to producers in the form of a second payment at the end of the harvest season. Dushime translated from Kirundi means "let's be thankful."
