Midwinter

For hundreds of centuries human cultures north and south of the equator have celebrated the passage of time made apparent by the cyclical change in sun exposure. Midwinter is our little acknowledgment of the experience in Ithaca as we slide into and climb out of a perpetual sense of twilight... which leaves us asking: Is the hibernal solstice the middle of winter or the start of winter? The answer is : yes. 

We start with a slick brown sugar base from Brazil Coopfam. We then fold in two of our favorite fruit forward coffees, starting with the dried berry and fig notes of a natural coffee from Ethiopia SCFCU and the round cherry zing from Guatemala Guaya’b.
