Ethiopia YCFCU Halo Bariti

The Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU) has been an institution in southern Ethiopia for over two decades. Since its founding in 2002, YCFCU has grown to represent 45,000 individual farmers across 28 primary cooperative unions, including Halo Bariti, a cooperative of around 300 coffee farmers located in the Gedeb district. As an umbrella coop, YCFCU provides marketing, financing and technical support services to members. Their vision is to be a leading and dynamic cooperative union in Africa and the world over.
