Brazil Cerrado Highlands

$15.00

If you’re a coffee person you might be thinking, “Brazil Highlands is an oxymoron.” Well, we say whereas altitude may be absolute, Highlands are relative. In Brazil, a relatively uniform topography compared to the neighboring Andean countries to the north, 1,200 meters above sea level is downright skyscraping. But in our case, Highlands refers to a series of coffees that takes a regionally specific flavor profile (or in this coffee’s case: eco-regionally specific) and cranks up the heat. The Cerrado savanna-like eco-region is inclusive of Minas Gerias and surrounding states. The cooperatives that we purchase from here represent small-scale farmers working together for better prices and futures.
